More Upgrades to Schools in District 118

DANVILLE -- One of the top improvements is new windows for Danville High School.

The estimated price tag for that is $600,000.

Danville Superintendent Mark Denman says that's a much smaller dollar amount compared to money spent when renovating two middle schools and an elementary school last budget year.

He adds, the windows have to be replaced.

They're listed as "required" improvements meaning the district has five years to fix the issue.

The district will apply for a grant to help fund some of the many improvements which the district says are needed.

There are other items on the improvement list including bathroom plumbing and re-paving driveways.

The cost of those projects hasn't been released.

Denman adds depending on the bids for the all the improvements some of the items could be put on hold until the next budget year.
