Rep. Davis Attending Second State of the Union

Tonight will mark President Obama's fifth State of the Union address--a speech where he will lay out his plans for his second term.

Illinois Rep. Rodney Davis will be in attendance at that speech for the first time as a representative. But he's still familiar with the event, as he was there for former president Bill Clinton's State of the Union address.

Davis talked to us Monday when he was in town. He said he's looking forward to being there.

"I'm excited about it," he said. "I got to go to President Clinton's last State of the Union as a guest. He spoke for 90 minutes. So I think the standing up and down, at least as a visitor in the gallery, was to keep you awake too."

Obama is expected to call for more spending on infrastructure and manufacturing. He will also announce the withdrawal of 34,000 U.S. troops from Afghanistan within a year.
