Illinois Auditor General arrested on DUI charges
Illinois' Auditor General is in the hot seat after being arrested for driving under the influence Wednesday.
According to Sangamon County court records, Illinois State Police initially cited William G. Holland on February 6th for improper lane usage. He was also arrested for DUI.
Details of the arrest by Illinois State Police are not yet available.
Court records also show Holland posted bond Thursday, February 7th.
Holland has been Auditor General since 1992. As a constitutional officer, the Auditor General audits public funds of the state, and reports to the General Assembly and to the Governor.
William Holland is due in court on March 14th.
