Gambling Expansion Back on Gov. Quinn's Desk
ILLINOIS--Good news for Danville, as the General Assembly came to a close yesterday.
Senate President, John Cullerton, finally released the 2011 gambling expansion bill on Tuesday.
A bill the House and Senate have already passed.
If Governor Quinn signs it, the City of Danville would get a license, and a green light to build a casino
ABC Newschannel 15 spoke with State Representative, Chad Hays, who is in support of a casino.
He tells us, if it happens, we'd see more permanent jobs and more revenue for the City of Danville.
Another plus, Indiana could contribute up to 65 percent of the casino's revenue.
Hays adds, whether Governor Quinn signs this bill or not, Danville getting a license will continue to be a part of the gambling expansion discussion.
