Three More Arrested in Decatur Police Shooting

Three more people are behind bars in connection with Friday's shooting of a Decatur police officer. Philip Jordan, Julianne Salmons, and Brittney Kreher, all of Decatur, are being charged with transferring a firearm to a person without a valid FOID card, as well as other charges.

Decatur police said all three were arrested Friday after an investigation linking them to the weapon that was allegedly used in Friday's shooting.

The police officer was shot early Friday morning after investigating a search warrant. He was released from the hospital Sunday, and is now recovering at home. For privacy purposes, authorities are still not releasing his name.

Wayne Kendall, the man accused of the shooting, is due back in court on Friday.
