Pothole Patrol in the C-U
CHAMPAIGN-URBANA--We may be experiencing a mild winter so far, but that hasn't stopped pesky potholes from popping up.
It's around this time of the year especially, that both Champaign and Urbana see more holes in the road.
Yearly, Champaign takes care of 20,000 potholes, and Urbana takes care of 10,000.
We can expect more potholes around this time of year because of snow, ice, salt and freezing temperatures.
Both public works departments have crews out daily, putting temporary patches with a cold mix.
It's in the spring time, that we can expect them to fix them permanently.
