ISP Troopers Help with Inauguration Security

During inauguration weekend, Illinois State Police troopers are in Washington D.C., helping with security efforts.

Forty ISP troopers are among 90 different law enforcement agencies from across the U.S. that have been asked to assist the U.S. Secret Service.

ISP Director Hiram Grau said he is confident his troopers will represent Illinois honorably.

The officers assistanting with security detail will be deputized as Deputy U.S. Marshals during the inaugural events.
