2013 Tax Filing Changes
CHAMPAIGN--If you're anticipating tax season, and like to file your taxes early, you'll have to wait for January 30th.
That's the first day the IRS will allow you to file.
Following the changes Congress made to taxes in January, this IRS had to push the filing date back.
What this means, is that the 120-million households that files taxes, have two weeks less to file this year.
Tax professionals said, even thought the date has changed, they can start your taxes now, but can't send them in right away.
The deadline to file taxes this year is still April 15th.
