Local Veteran's Story Aims to Inspire
CHAMPAIGN--A local wounded veterans story is inspiring people all over the country, and the world.
Soon it will be on display for the local community.
Steve Baskis lives in Champaign now, but he's been all over the world the last few years.
Baskis permanently lost his vision after an improvised explosive device hit a Humvee he was in while serving in Iraq.
Since then, he's done everything he can to continue to live life to the fullest, including climbing mountains without the ability to see.
