Illini Soccer Wins Postponed Game
CHAMPAIGN-- The Illini soccer team has had to overcome the loss of their leading returning scorer Vanessa DiBernardo and head coach Janet Rayfield so far this season, making a game change from Saturday to Monday no big deal. Thanks to Hurricane Isaac over the weekend, the Illini having to wait until Monday to play University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
The Illini earned the victory 3-1, thanks to goals from Nicole Denenberg, Taylore Peterson, and Marissa Holden, all scoring their first of the year. The Illini are now 3-1-1 this season, hitting the road this weekend against Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
