ABC 20 EXTREME MAKEOVER
They were sent to Disney World, their Salt and Light Ministry was stacked with food, and they came home Tuesday to a dream home.
Not to mention, they're going to be featured on a hit reality show.
On Wednesday, the family spoke about their experiences over the past week.
For the first time Wednesday, the whole family will get to stay in their home.
The Montgomerys say there are still parts of the house they've yet to discover. But after all the excitement they've had over these past few days, the family is looking forward to moving on with life after "reality."
Between the cameras rolling, and the crowds shouting, and standing along side celebrities, it's been a fast week for the Montgomerys.
"We got to do more in four and a half days than most people get to do in a couple of weeks," said Nathan Montgomery.
With a new place to call home, and a new Salt and Light Ministry, it still all hasn't sunk in.
"I don't know when it's all going to settle down and feel real," said Nathan.
A family that helps hundreds of people every week at their organization finally gets their day in the sun. They say it's a humbling experience.
Jenny Montgomery said, "it has had an tremendous effect on our family just seeing how much the community has reacted and has come together to help us."
As Extreme Makeover production ends here life will be back to normal for the Montgomerys, and for the entire Philo community.
The family says they'll never forget what they've been given, and use them to the best of their abilities.
"With great blessings comes great responsibility, we need to take this opportunity for what it is and use it to do everything that we can like we've been doing but even more so," said Nathan.
