Almanac
--THURSDAY'S WEATHER--
It was another nice day across the region with daytime sunshine over most of the area. Clouds were beginning to spin acorss our skies to the south-west during the afternoon. Highs were in the mid to upper 70's.
--STORM TEAM 15 FORECAST--
A large area of rain over Missouri will push eastward over the next couple of days to bring chances of rain showers over our area on Friday and Saturday. On Friday our rain chances stand at 40-percent as the remnants of Hermine move to the north-east from Missouri. By very early Saturday, a cold front pushing in from the northern Plains will meet up with the Hermine remnants bring the area showers/storms. By the afternoon and evening, our rain chances will decrease, hopefully just in time for the Illini game on Saturday evening.
As the two weather systems move to the east of our area, high pressure will once again move in from the west to bring us a number of days of fair weather into next week.
It's a busy weekend of events and activities across the region. The weather is going to play a big part of many of these. Be sure and stay tuned to ABC/NewsChannel 15 and logged into wicd15.com for the latest weather information and INTERACTIVE RADAR to follow the movement of rain/storms in your area.
-- 6 to 10 DAY FORECAST--
Sept 15-19: Expect temperatures to be slightly below average, while rain is forecast to take our rainfall to above average expectations.
