Mahomet-- A deadly winter storm has left our area but in it's wake police are investigating two fatal accidents in Champaign County.
The Champaign county coroner has released the name of a 27 year old passenger who died yesterday evening on I-74.
Jennifer Kautz of Minier died after the pick up she was traveling in near Mahomet skidded across the median and hit a tractor trailer head on.
Three cars were involved in that accident which backed up traffic for miles.
Early reports by police say that the snowy weather and icy roads were a factor in the crash.

After her car skidded into a guardrail in pesotum while on her way to school friday.
16 year old Brittany Murphy was heading to school at Unity High School when police say she lost control of her car on a rural county road.
The road was a sheet of ice and Murphy slammed into a guard rail head on which killed her.
School officials broke the news to students and have made grief counselors available.
Brittany's family is still working out visitation and funeral arrangements

Ruling expected in Ill. abortion notification case

CHICAGO (AP) -- The fate of a long-debated Illinois law that requires a teenage girl's parents to be told before she has an abortion is still unknown.
Cook County Judge Daniel Riley will rule later this month on dismissing a temporary restraining order on the Parental Notice of Abortion Act.
But whatever his decision, the law won't likely go into effect immediately.
The law hasn't been enforced since 1995 when it was passed. It requires doctors notify the guardians of a girl 17 or younger before the teen gets an abortion.
If Riley dismisses the order, assistant Illinois Attorney General Thomas Ioppolo says he'll agree to a stay. That's a grace period and would allow appeals.
If it's upheld, it clears the path for the American Civil Liberties Union to seek a preliminary injunction.
