Illinois State Police checked businesses in Ford County this week, to see if any of them were selling alcohol to minors.
According to a press release more than 15 stores were checked in the Paxton and Gibson City area. Three purchases were made, one at a Pop-A-Top, one at a Harper Oil , and one at a Casey's General Store.

Ill. school bus driver charged with DUI

MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. (AP) -- A suburban Chicago school bus driver is facing a DUI charge after authorities say she drove her route with a blood alcohol level that was nearly three times the legal limit.
Tandra Simonton of the Cook County state's attorney's office says the 54-year-old driver admitted downing several vodka drinks before driving 50 students home from Lions Park Elementary School.
A co-worker reportedly smelled alcohol on the woman's breath but didn't immediately tell officials. Mount Prospect police say the driver wasn't pulled over until she'd already completed her route.
Prosecutors say she had a blood alcohol level of 0.226 percent when she was arrested. The legal limit in Illinois is 0.08.
She's charged with aggravated driving under the influence, and school officials say she's been suspended without pay.
