"The community has been behind me throughout my tribulation and it means a lot they came up with this idea," said Tim Rivest.
"My goal is to spread this to other agencies and get this program moving and in years to come have the rest of the departments in the county partake in this," said Eric Ruff.
The department is teaming up with the American Cancer Society and Carle Hospital which provided pamphlets to the department with information on early detection.
