The increase means skilled care will rise to 145 dollars per day. The Champaign County Board will need to approve the increase at it's Thursday night board meeting.
"It does beg the question how long can we go about doing this? We are close to breaking even but we aren't there yet especially at a cash point but in this particular case what choice do we have?" said County Board member Brendan McGinty.
The rate increase if approved, which it is expected to be, will go into effect December first.
