UPDATE: A juvenile has been arrested in connection with the car robbery.

U of I Police Lt. Roy Acree confirms that the Urbana Police investigated a suspicious vehicle on Saturday afternoon.

Three juveniles were in the stolen car.

Two were released to relatives, while the third one admitted to the U of I Police that he had stolen the car from the parking garage.

The juvenile had also switched plates on the stolen car.

The car will be processed by police on Monday, and returned to the victim.

Campus police are investigating an early morning car robbery. According to a crime alert, it happened in a parking garage on University Avenue around 7am.

Police say a man grabbed a woman from behind forcing her to the lower level while trying to empty her purse.The man grabbed the woman's keys and took off with her Red 2010 Hyundai Sonata.

The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20's, about 6'1'' with a scruffy beard. He was wearing an orange sleeveless t-shirt.
