Sara Vincent
WICD Anchor/Reporter
Sara joined NewsChannel 15 in January 2007. She can be seen co-anchoring Sunrise This Morning or reporting.
Sara was born and raised in central New Hampshire. In 2002 she graduated cum laude from Suffolfk University in Boston, Massachusetts with a degree in broadcast journalism. While in college she interned at the NBC and WB news stations in Boston.
Prior to working at WICD, Sara was the weekend anchor and a reporter for KLFY, TV-10 in Lafayette, Louisiana. While in Lousiana she made some very close friends and developed a love for cajun cooking! Before heading down South, Sara worked at WNDS in Derry, New Hampshire.
During her time in Louisiana, the state was hit with two major blows from mother nature named Katrina and Rita. Sara reported extensively in New Orleans just days after hurricane Katrina. One month later, hurricane Rita came barreling through. Hours after the storm hit Sara was out in the flood waters reporting on the damage. She was also one of the first reporters to get into the hardest hit area, the town of Cameron, by landing via Blackhawk helicopter with the National Guard. She will never forget the damage she saw or sad and uplifting stories that resulted from those two storms. Up until her last days at KLFY, Sara was still reporting on the recovery, a process that will unfortunatly take years to come.
On a lighter note, Sara is "mom" to a German Shepard mix puppy named Maci. When she's not playing with the dog or at work Sara enjoys, visiting her friends and family in New England and down South, going to the gym, shopping and of course catching up on sleep! And being from New England, you can probably guess it, she's a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan!
