Jill Noelle joined NewsChannel 15 in January 2006. She can be seen giving her forecasts on Sunrise This Morning and on Midday.

Jill comes from WEEK-TV in Peoria, Illinois where she was Morning Reporter and Fill-in Weathercaster. Previously, she worked at WRBL-TV in Columbus, Georgia as Weekend Weathercaster and Weekday Reporter.

Jill was born and raised in Central Illinois and is a Bradley University graduate. Following college she attained her Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Illinois State University.

In 2003 and 2004, a number of severe weather events across Central Illinois had a major impact on Jill. On May 10, 2003 an F3 tornado damaged several hundred homes and completely destroyed 100 more in South Pekin, Illinois. Amazingly, no one died, but 23 people were injured. The same tornado went on to hit Cape Cod Apartments in Morton. President Bush declared twelve counties in the state federal disaster areas. On April 20, 2004 and F3 tornado claimed the lives of 8 people in Utica and on July 13 an F4 tornado (with 210 to 240 mph winds) demolished Parson's Manufacturing Plant in rural Roanoke, Illinois. Approximately, 140 workers made it to concrete storm shelters just minutes before it hit. Seeing and reporting on the tornado outbreaks convinced Jill to become a Meteorologist. Jill received her certification from Mississippi State University’s Broadcast Meteorology Program and is a member of both the National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society.

When not at work, Jill enjoys spending time with family, friends and her Pembroke Welsh Corgi “Wrigley.” Jill also enjoys volunteering and traveling.
