Matt Coldagelli co-anchors ABC NewsChannel 15 Sunrise This Morning. A lifelong night owl, the Burlington, Illinois native is glad he made the switch to mornings.

"Once you get accustomed to waking up at the time you used to go to bed, the mornings are great. We have a lot of flexibility and get to have a lot of fun on our show."

Matt also works as the third member of our sports team at WICD. As a graduate of the University of Illinois, Matt is thrilled to get the chance to cover his alma mater on a daily basis.

“One of the goals of anyone who works in sports is to cover the teams that you’ve always cheered for…..walking into Assembly Hall or Memorial Stadium never seems like work to me.”

When Matt isn’t at work, you can find him riding his bike, on the basketball court or on the golf course. Or, of course, catching up on his sleep.
