FDIC Closes First National Bank of Danville
Federal regulators closed six banks across the state of Illinois today, One of those was the First National Bank of Danville. The FDIC says there is no reason for customers of the bank to worry though. Regulators say the bank will reopen as a branch of the of First Financial Bank on Monday which is out of Terre Haute. All accounts have been transferred to first financial. Customers can continue to use checks and debit cards through the weekend and continue to make loan payments as usual. The Comptroller of the Currency also closed the John Warner Bank of Clinton.
